Seymour Man Critically Injured In Early Morning SUV Crash With Waterbury Driver

A 40-year-old man is fighting for his life in a Connecticut hospital after being hit by an SUV while walking on Route 8, police said.

The Seymour man was walking south near the Exit 9 on-ramp in Shelton when the SUV struck him on Sunday, March 9, shortly before 5:30 a.m., Connecticut State Police said.

Paramedics rushed the victim to St. Vincent's Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. 

The SUV’s driver, a Waterbury resident, remained at the scene, police said.
